On 10th March 2011, I got an opportunity to address the HR Leaders of Airtel Ltd. (http://www.airtel.in/) This company has a turnover of Rs42,000 crores and have just 15,000 employees running their business. They have a presence in all the 22 Telecom Circles in India, and run operations in Srilanka, Bangladesh and Africa. Airtel served more than 200 million customers as of December 31, 2010. They are the largest wireless service provider in India as of December 31, 2010.When Krish Shankar, who heads HR for Airtel invited me (probably because we went to XLRI together ๐Ÿ™‚ …) he asked me to share what would be the changes that would be affecting the way organizations work. He also wanted me to share what I thought should be the way to prepare the leaders for the workplace of the future. What is the one word that begins with ‘f’ and ends with ‘k’ that is already impacting the way organizations work… I don’t know what you thought of but I thought of the impact of Facebook and how it is changing everything that has worked so far. So the theme of my presentation was: “Get used to the F Word.”The presentation is on slideshare and now it is here. Feel free to share this article with anyone you wish to.Future of Work View more presentations from Abhijit Bhaduri on slideshareMy presentation on slideshare.net

  1. Sir, very powerful thoughts there, and in some cases I would say path-breaking thoughts. It is a pleasure to see such a reality reflection from the head of an Indian MNCs, more because Indian organizations accept such realities pretty late and ofcourse miss-out the potential benefits. [I very well remember that social networking a complete ban in Indian organization a few years back, and even now…..however social networking through mobile phones have penetrated through this barrier.]I am indeed very happy to see that people like you are leading the thought wave of changing workplaces and changing dynamics of the employees.I quite enjoyed the presentation ๐Ÿ™‚
